Stacy Lee Downs, of Brownstown, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2021, at the St. Vincent Heart Center of Indianapolis. He was 54.

Stacy entered this life on June 22, 1967, in Seymour, Indiana and he became the life of the party from that moment on. He was the second born to Richard and Linda (Price) Downs. He was the younger brother to Kathy, and the oldest brother to Darin, Joetta, and Jason. Stacy spent most of his life in Jackson County. On June 30, 2001, he was united in marriage to Nicki (Hudson) Downs. She survives.

Stacy enjoyed life to the fullest, he woke up every morning singing a song of some sort. He would hunt arrowheads with his mother, and also enjoyed hunting deer and classic cars.

He was of Christian Faith, a devoted husband, a loving father, and Papaw. He attended the Community Church of Brownstown. Stacy was a former Careworker for the disabled, until he went to work for the Head of Security at Silgan. He was the former owner of Down’s Discount Depot and was always a wheeler and dealer.

Stacy leaves a legacy of love with his family, wife of 20 years, Nicki Downs of Brownstown, a daughter, Sharlie Douglas of Crothersville, grandchildren, Kearstin Douglas, James Douglas, and Darius Ruiz, his mother Linda Downs of Medora, two sisters, Kathy Downs of Seymour, and Joetta Pollert and her husband Richard of Seymour, and two brothers, Darin Downs of Norman, and Jason Downs and his wife Crissy of Brownstown, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Richard Downs on July 7, 2021.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at Hague Funeral Home of Medora on September 15, 2021, at 11:00 am with Pastor Andrew Currao officiating. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be on Tuesday September 14, 2021, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and on Wednesday after 10:00 am until time of the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be written in Stacy’s name to the family through Hague Funeral Home of Medora.
