On November 21, 1965, she married Clyde H. Allman at Central Christian Church in Seymour. Elaine worked at Cummins as a secretary in Columbus, IN. Shortly after, she turned her interest and passion for antiques into a career. Elaine began researching, collecting, and selling antiques in her mid-20’s. She became a well-sought after Antique Dealer due to her expertise and various collections. Elaine specialized in Early Country American Antiques. During her lifetime, she greatly enjoyed antiques, gardening, sewing, and watching sports. Being a mother and grandmother was Elaine’s pride and joy. She was very involved in helping care for her granddaughters in their early years, as well as always being there to provide the best “after school snacks.” Elaine enjoyed attending every extra-curricular activity her son and grandchild participated in; always being the loudest fan on the sideline. She was a proud Nana and Mom who cherished every moment spent with her three granddaughters.

She is also survived by her sister, Jill Cord, brother-in-law, Bill Cord, sister-in-law, Wanda (John) Allman, nephews Adam Cord, Rob and Ron Allman, as well as nieces Janet Belding and Julia Allman.
