Jackson County Public Library book discussion groups plan to gather in person to discuss book themes, writing styles, characters and more in July.

Books are available to check out at the library checkout desks or digitally through OverDrive/Libby or hoopla.

The Tuesday Night Book Club will discuss its monthly book at 7 p.m. July 13 at Brewskies Downtown, 117 E. Second St., Seymour. Information Services Manager Janet Hensen will lead the review of “This Tender Land” by William Kent Krueger. Everyone attending should bring money if they plan to eat. Sign up for the program when checking out the book.

The book discussion group at the Crothersville Library, which meets on the third Wednesday of each month, will gather at Bard Street Park and share thoughts on “Stardust” by Neil Gaiman at 6 p.m. July 21. Crothersville Coordinator Cindy Huckleberry will lead the discussion. The group is open to adults, and there is no attendance requirement.

Book It!, a book discussion group for teens and adults that has been meeting through Facebook, will now meet in person as a walking book club.

Join Information Services Assistant Hillary Pacheco in the Seymour Library lobby at noon July 27 to walk through downtown and discuss "Last Woman Standing" by Amy Gentry. Register at myjclibrary.org/events or join Book It! on Facebook for health tips, to share your recipes or run or to further discuss the book.
