Vegetable growers meeting planned for March 11

The 2021 Southeastern Indiana Vegetable Growers meeting will be held virtually from 6 to 9 p.m. March 11.

The program, sponsored by Purdue Extension Floyd County, is free and open to anyone interested in growing vegetables. 

The schedule will feature a weed update and glyphosate weed control controversy discussion from 6 to 7 p.m. led by Steve Meyers, an assistant weed science professor at Purdue, and Rob Davis with Fresh Energy discussing the question "Can solar farms benefit Indiana growers?" from 7 to 8 p.m.

DriftWatch 2020, a private pesticide applicator or PARP regulatory topic, also will be discussed by extension educators from 8 to 9 p.m.
