Seymour Main Street recently announced the opening of the business assistance programs for 2021.

Beginning today, qualified applicants may submit requests for assistance by visiting seymourmainstreet.org and clicking on "Business Assistance."

In 2020, Seymour Main Street was able to award $151,864 to downtown businesses toward projects such as new windows, signage, awnings, rental assistance and down payment assistance.

“Over the last few years, the economic vitality committee has done a tremendous job awarding funds to help new and existing businesses and building owners transform downtown Seymour,” said Bri Roll, executive director of Seymour Main Street. “We are honored to help fund initiatives to preserve our historic buildings and improve commercial and residential spaces.”

All requests for assistance will be reviewed in the order the applications are received. Not all applicants will qualify. Awards will continue to be determined until funds are exhausted.
