Mr. James “Jim” Werskey, of Seymour, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 at his home. He was born in Pasadena, Texas to the late Richard “Dick” and Betty Jean (Mattick) Werskey.

James is survived by his wife, Christine Werskey; children, Alan (Heidi) Werskey, Eric Werskey; sister, Patricia (Mark) Goble; niece, Jennifer Goble (Steve) Fox; great-nieces, Avery and Emily and great-nephew, Carter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert “Bob” Werskey; and nephew, Brian Goble.

Private family funeral services for Jim will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service with Rev. Marc Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to pay their final respects to Jim at a walk-through visitation on Sunday, December 13 from 2-4 p.m. and Monday from 12 noon until 1 p.m. The family appreciates all the prayers and concern for them in this time of loss. Cards and notes of condolence will be most welcome.

In accordance with CDC guidelines, masks are required before admittance to the funeral home as well as social distancing within the building. We kindly ask that there be no physical contact such as hugs or handshakes to protect staff and the family. Attendance is limited to 25 people at any given time.
