Patching continues on I-65 in Jackson, Scott and Clark counties

Patching work will continue over the next few weeks on Interstate 65 between the Memphis interchange at the 16-mile-marker and at the 49-mile-marker just south of the Seymour interchange.

Crews plan to begin asphalt patching Monday, which will extend through late November. Motorists can expect lane closures up to 5 miles in length Monday through Thursday, weather permitting. No work is planned during the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Indiana Department of Transportation is utilizing queue trucks with warning lights and signage to alert drivers of slowed and/or stopped traffic ahead. Delays will be possible, especially during peak travel times.

Drivers should slow down and use extra caution in and near construction zones.
