The board’s role will be to secure opportunities or strategic partnerships in the hemp and CBD industry. In exchange for their roles on the board, members are given an equity stake in Thrive Well.

Megnin grew up in Bloomington and has been an entrepreneur, founder and adviser for the past two decades.

Past companies include Intel Capital, a strategic investment company focused on technology startups; PrepFlash, an artificial intelligence company that uses NLP to automatically create flashcards from any content; and CloudCoreo, a configuration management company that garnered investment from Microsoft and ultimately sold to VMWare.

He was in the 2014 class of 40 under 40 for Professional Remodeler Magazine at the helm of the long-running real estate investment firm OCPS and was twice featured on TLC’s hit television show “Flip That House.”

Megnin also has a degree in economics from Indiana University and a Master of Business Administration from Baylor University, where he is an executive judge for its annual MBA Ethics Competition.

After spending the last 15 years in Austin, Seattle and the Bay Area, Megnin is back in his hometown of Bloomington with his wife, Andrea, and son, Jack, working as an entrepreneur in residence for Elevate Ventures, serving the Velocities region in south central Indiana.

Elevate Ventures, an Indianapolis-based company, works in conjunction with the state of Indiana to provide investment capital and other value-added services to Indiana entrepreneurs and community leaders.
