HARRISON

Ralph A. Gillman, 87, of Harrison, OH, formerly of Brookville, IN, passed away peacefully at Cincinnati Christ Hospital on October 30, 2020. He was united in marriage to Clara Greiwe on July 21, 1956. She passed away on March 1, 2006.

Ralph served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He owned Gillman Brother’s Lumber & Supply of Brookville, IN, until he retired in 2000.

He was active in his church, community, teaching CCD, serving on the school board, and school athletic director. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. Ralph loved playing cards, watching the Reds, and spending time with his family and friends. He was well respected and loved by all.

Ralph was a devoted husband and father and will be missed everyday by his children, Debbie (Terry) Meyers of Seymour, IN, Connie (Steve) Fohl of St. Leon, IN, and Jim Gillman of Harrison, OH; Grandchildren Matt (Stephanie) Meyers, Michelle and Jennifer Fohl; and Great Granddaughter Sloane Meyers; in-laws, Joseph (Marlene) Greiwe, Delores “Wink” Gillman, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Clara Langferman, Elsie Stenger, Alma Singer, Carl, Leo “Dick”, and Joseph Gillman.

A memorial service was held in private with the family at Brater-Winter Funeral Home.
