Richard Darrell Branaman, 77, of Austin, Indiana passed away Friday, October 30, 2020 at his residence

Born February 28, 1943 in Seymour, Indiana, he was the son of the late Onis and Vivian (Gray) Branaman.

On June 17, 2006 he married Julie (Riley) Branaman, who survives.

Richard was the President of the Clearspring High School Alumni Association, was an avid hunter,and most of all he loved his family.

He retired as a Supervisor from Rockwell Automation in Madison and spent many years as Production Manager at Holmes Industries in Scottsburg.

Survivors include his wife, Julie, his children, Richard D. (Kristi) Branaman, Brownstown, Indiana Kenneth L. (Candi) Branaman, Seymour, Indiana, Teresa (Rick) Meyers, Seymour, Indiana, Tanya Montgomery, Columbus, Indiana, Jake (Kayla) Cornett, Scottsburg, Indiana, Joshua (Erin) Cornett, New Albany, Indiana

Brothers: Bernie Branaman, Medora, Indiana, Jerry Branaman, Seymour, Indiana, and Larry Branaman, Brownstown, Indiana

Sisters: Loretta Mackinnon, South Carolina and Rita Fleshman, Norman, Indiana

He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, Darrell Branaman, Robbie Branaman, Ryan Branaman, Kayla (Aaron) Carr, David Branaman, Christopher Branaman, Abigail Branaman, Kirstin (Mike) Ringel, Kyle Meyers, Tanner Alexander, J.J. Montgomery, Makayle Montgomery, Jenna Hall, Wesley Cornett, and William Cornett, 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Glen, Kenny, and Gerald Branaman.

Funeral Service: 12:00 Noon Friday, November 6, 2020 at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin, Indiana with cremation to follow.

Visitation will be 10 am to 12 noon Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home

Burial will be at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Austin, Indiana.

Due to the COVID Pandemic and the governor’s executive order, face masks are required in the funeral home and we ask that social distancing is observed.
