Mr. James Theodore “Jim” Huff, Sr., 87, of Seymour, passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, October 17, 2020.

Jim was born in Troy, Indiana on August 6, 1933 the son of the late William E. Huff and Pauline (Paulin) Huff Johnson.

He married his high school sweetheart, Doris Jean Johnson Huff, on May 3, 1952, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Doris passed away October 26, 2015. He was a great provider for his family as he worked for Cummins Engine Company, where he retired in 1988 after 33 years.

Jim was a 32-degree mason at the Masonic F & AM 146 Lodge in Seymour and a member of the Scottish Rite. He had many activities in life being bowling, racing dirt track, racing coon hounds, hunting, and playing golf. Jim was a Notre Dame Football fan, Indiana University Basketball fan, and a major KEEP AMERICA GREAT “TRUMP” supporter.

He is survived by his loving family, James Theodore “Ted” (Sue) Huff, Jr., Charles William “Chuck” (Susan) Huff, Rebecca Jorene “Becky” (Gene) Scott; grandchildren, Amy Michelle (Charlie) Bentz, Staci Rachelle (Eddie Gordon) Boyle, Matthew (Kim) Huff, James Eligha “Ligie” (Rachel) Whipker, Cody (Kayla) Huff, Sarah Elizabeth (Theodore Jr.) Stucker, Bryan Scott (Ashley) Whipker, C.W. Wiese, and Chris Wiese; great-grandchildren, Zack Hawkins, Ethan Hawkins, Grace Hawkins, Hunter Akemon, Nolan Huff, Adalyn Huff, Taylor Burdine, Miranda Burdine, Emersyn Huff, Mila Huff, Annabella Stucker, and August Whipker; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife of 63 years Doris, great grandchild: Savannah Akemon, brothers; Bill, Bob, Ed, and Mourice Huff.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at Voss & Sons Funeral Service with Pastor Theodore Stucker, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Friends and family may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday, October 21 from 4-7 p.m. and Thursday after 12:00 p.m. until time of service. (Mask are always required when you enter and to be worn inside Voss & Sons Funeral Service.) Masonic service will be Wednesday 6:30 p.m. at Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
