A previously scheduled early season volleyball match for Crothersville has been called off because the opponent experienced a positive test for the coronavirus and had to withdraw.

The match versus Columbus Christian was scheduled for Aug. 17, though it was not Crothersville’s season opener. That event is Aug. 15 at the Scottsburg Invitational.

Under Indiana High School Athletic Association protocols, if a player on a team produces a positive COVID-19 test, the squad must quarantine.

In addition, the Crothersville school board approved Athletic Director Jacob Dunn to become the boys golf coach in the spring.
