The use of consumer fireworks is prohibited in the corporate limits of the city of Seymour except during the following periods:
- Between the hours of 10 a.m. and midnight July 4 each year and between the hours of 10 a.m. Dec. 31 until 1 a.m. Jan. 1 of the new year
- Between the hours of 5 p.m. and two hours after sunset on June 29 and 30, July 1 through 3 and July 5 through 9 each year
