Mr. Marvin Harper, 95 of Broad Ripple, passed away in Indianapolis, Indiana on November 18, 2019. He was born in Seymour, Indiana to Herbert F. Harper and Lottie (Harding) Harper.

Marvin was a United States Navy veteran serving on a minesweeper during World War II and as a Naval Correspondent in the Korean War. After the Korean war he became a beautician and worked well into his 93rd year. Marvin loved his family and enjoyed working with many charities throughout his life. He was a longtime resident of Broad Ripple.

He is survived by his sister Jean Nichols; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Evelyn Thompson and Pat Dixon; and brother Glen Harper.

A private family graveside service will take place at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour, Indiana on Friday, June 12, 2020 with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.
