Indiana 211 adding resources to assist Hoosiers in need with COVID-19

Indiana 211 has created a new website to serve as a clearinghouse of information about COVID-19 resources.

The organization also is adding 20 to 30 new navigators to handle increased call volume. Community navigators help people identify their goals, prioritize their needs and connect them to valuable community resources, according to a news release from the agency.

This free service connects Hoosiers with help and answers from thousands of health and human services agencies quickly, easily and confidentially. This includes needs such as food, utility, health care, child care assistance, etc.

Individuals seeking services within Indiana may contact 211 at in211.communityos.org/COVID-19 or by dialing 2-1-1 or 866-211-9966 (available 24/7, this line is only for seeking services within Indiana). They also may text their ZIP code to 898-211 (available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday). For all other 211 assistance, visit in211.org.
