Mrs. Delores Benson, 76, of Seymour, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Schneck Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born in Dudleytown to the late Henry “Hank” and Opal (Kerkhof) Bobb.

Funeral services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at Emanuel Lutheran Church on Monday, February 3 at 10:00 a.m. with Revs. Kenneth Davidson and Ralph Blomenberg officiating. Burial will follow at Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery Dudleytown.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Sunday from 2:00-6:00 p.m. and at Emanuel Lutheran Church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

On February 25, 1963, Delores married Gordon Kovener; they were married 27 years before separating. On June 2, 1995, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Delores married Donald Benson; he preceded her in death.

She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and LWML. Throughout the years, she had worked for Sylvania, Premier Co-op, and most recently at Walmart. She loved spending time with people, especially her family, and was head over heels in love with her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and watching her Hallmark Channel.

Delores is survived by her children, Lori Tungate, Elizabeth (Carey) Ruwe; stepchildren, Michelle (Eric) Sebastian, Erin (Jeremy) Huff; grandchildren, Kaylena Tungate, Charlie Tungate, Destiny (Caleb) Schryer, Natasha (Chase) Crum; step-grandchildren, Karsten Sebastian, Derrick Huff, James Huff, Kiley Huff; great-grandchildren, Zaylah Schryer, Hallie Tungate; brothers, Richard (Janet) Bobb, Garry (Sandy) Bobb; sister, Carol (Glen) Tormoehlen as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; second husband; and nephews, Michael Bobb and Matthew Bobb.
