Girls Basketball

Cougars wallop Waldron

Though the Cougars turned the ball over 23 times on Tuesday night, they still defeated the Waldron Mohawks 52-35.

Sydney Jaynes collected another double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds and was one of three different players to score in double figures.

Kailene Cockerham led the charge with 16 points while Bailey Tabeling scored 15. 

Hannah Sabotin scored six and Emma Schepman added four to round out the Trinity Lutheran scoring. 

Seymour grad named Junior Golf Director

Seymour high school graduate and Owl girls golf standout Paxton DeHaven was recently named the Junior Golf Director for the Indiana Golf Association.

DeHaven was a two-time national champion with the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds, and was named an All-Great Lakes Valley Conference player and Academic All-GLVC player four times. 

With the Owls, she was a two-time state qualifier.
