Volleyball coach to speak during BEMS annual meeting


Jennifer Shade will be the guest speaker during Brownstown/Ewing Main Street’s annual meeting Thursday night at W.R. Ewing, 1103-1105 W. Spring St., Brownstown.

The Brownstown Central High School volleyball head coach guided the Braves to the school’s first team state title in the fall of 2019, winning the Class 3A state championship game in four sets against Bellmont. The Braves finished the season with a 33-5 record, and Shade was named the Class 3A Coach of the Year and coached one of the all-star teams.

The welcome and networking will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., followed by the program at 6:30 p.m. BEMS officials will discuss happenings in Brownstown in 2019 and plans for the future.
