The Jackson County History Center is getting into the holiday spirit.

At 6 p.m. today, the annual Christmas in the Village will be in the livery barn at the center, 105 N. Sugar St., Brownstown. Visitors can enjoy carols and refreshments and check out the Festival of Trees display and vote for their favorite.

Then at 1 p.m. Sunday, members of the choirs at First Baptist Church of Brownstown and Vallonia Christian Church will sing Christmas songs in the livery barn. The choirs also have their annual cantata at 7 p.m. Sunday at Vallonia Christian Church, 2344 S. Main St., Vallonia, and at 7 p.m. Dec. 22 at First Baptist Church, 1095 S. State Road 135, Brownstown. This year, the show is called “Holding On to Christmas.”

Anyone with a group of five or more who would like to view the Festival of Trees may call Gloria Cross at 812-358-4005 or Margo Brewer at 812-358-2924 to set up an appointment.
