Trinity Lutheran outscored Austin 28-7 in the fourth quarter to post its first win of the season 78-62 Tuesday night in the Bollinger Athletic Complex.

Cougar coach Michael McBride said his team improved in a couple of areas on Tuesday night to lead them to a win.

“The first thing was defense," he said. "We gave up a lot of 3s in the first quarter. In the first quarter we weren’t playing good defense on the ball but in the second, third and fourth quarters that drastically improved. The other area was offense. In the Hauser game we were stagnant, but tonight we looked like we knew what we were doing. We kept talking about moving with a purpose.”
