Lutheran Women’s Missionary League gathers

Emmanuel Leesville recently served as the host for the Lutheran Community Home’s Lutheran Women’s Missionary League meeting with 14 members present.

Members from the home attending were Orpha Emkes, Hulda Goecker, Lillian Goecker, Bertha Jackson, Helen Goecker, Sharon Scott, Mildred Fenneberg and Ester Sundell.

The Bible study was based on “Joy Down in My Heart” knowing peace, a person free, quiet, secure, loving, family and heaven. John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.”

The minutes from the fall rally were read. The treasurer’s report from the fall rally showed $1,134.51 was sent to Bethania Kids and an ending balance of $937.39. Mites from the September Lutheran Community Home LWML meeting were $52.

Several suggestions for change in the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League were scarves and hats knitted or crocheted and a water bottle and toiletries to have on hand to be given to someone in need.
