All Seasons Garden Club gathers

All Seasons Garden Club met Sept. 18 at the home of Julie Ballard with Jean Thompson as co-host.

Club members were able to sit outside under Julie’s gazebo, surrounded by her flowers.

Joyce Cravens, the cousin of member Veronica Bowling, and Janet Thompson, the daughter of member Jean Thompson, attended as guests.

Riley Stuckwisch from Stuckwisch Pumpkin Farm on State Road 11, was the speaker. She spoke on planting and raising the many different pumpkins. They carry pink, varieties of white, multiple sizes of orange, baby boo and gourds. They also raise and sell 20 different assortments of five colors of mums.

Next month’s meeting will be at Nita Bridges’ home with Ann McAfee as co-host.
