The Seymour High School volleyball team will have a fundraiser starting at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 24 during its match against Silver Creek at the Lloyd E. Scott Gymnasium.

The Alyssa’s Night fundraiser will benefit the Be the Match bone marrow donor registration. Coach Angie Lucas’ daughter, Jessica, has a close friend and former Western Kentucky University volleyball teammate, Alyssa Cavanaugh, who survived leukemia by finding a bone marrow donor through Be the Match.

In the commons and gymnasium, people also can buy a meal of a Chik-fil-A sandwich, chips and a drink for $6, and T-shirts will be available for $10.

Representatives of Be the Match will be in attendance. They will have a donor registration and also will have an oversized dry erase blank check to fill out when the donation is presented.
