Man arrested on fugitive warrant

A 28-year-old man wanted in Tennessee was arrested in Jackson County on Sunday afternoon, police report.

Seanquavio Tykeem Jackson of Chattanooga, Tennessee, was arrested by the Indiana State Police on a fugitive warrant.

Jackson had been wanted for burglary, vandalism and two theft charges in Tennessee, said Sgt. Stephen Wheeles, public information officer for the Indiana State Police Versailles Post.

The incident that led to Jackson’s arrest came when Trooper Chris Lockman conducted a traffic stop around 2:30 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 65 near the 43.5 mile marker.

Lockman found Jackson had been wanted on the charges from previous incidents and placed him under arrest.

Jackson was booked into the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown at 4:06 p.m. without bond pending his initial hearing.
