Mr. Stanley Eugene Furnish, 90, of Seymour, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at Marion VA Hospital in Marion, Indiana. He was born in Vienna, IN to the late Samuel Marshall and Fairy Ilene (Foster) Furnish.

Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday, September 2nd, at 7p.m., with Rev. Jeff Hood officiating. Entombment will be held on Tuesday, September 3rd, at 2 p.m. at Washington Park East Mausoleum in Indianapolis with full military graveside rites conducted by the Indy Metropolitan Military Honor Guard.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday, September 2nd, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

On December 25, 1959, he married Bess “Joan” Stull; she survives.

He was a quality controller for Jenn-Air for 10 years. He also worked 10 years for Schwitzer. He served in the U.S. Army from 1947 to 1948 and again from 1950-1953; serving in the Korean War where he was a POW for 30 months. He was a member of the VFW, DAV and American Legion.

Stanley is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joan Furnish; grandchildren, Pennie (Kip) Hooper, Teresa (Denny) Eversole; 7 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son and daughter-in-law, Marshall (Bonnie) Furnish.
