July book discussions schedule set

Jackson County Public Library book discussion groups plan to gather to discuss book themes, writing styles, characters and more in July at the Seymour, Crothersville and Medora libraries.

The groups are open to adults, and there is no attendance requirement. Books are available to check out at library checkout desks.

The Tuesday Night Book Club will review “Still Life” by Louise Penny at 7 p.m. July 9 at San Marcos restaurant in Seymour.Those attending should bring money if they plan to eat and may sign up as they check out the book from the Seymour Library.

The book discussion group at the Crothersville Library, which meets the third Wednesday of each month, will gather and share their thoughts on “A Place for Us” by Fatima Farheen Mirza at 6 p.m. July 17.

Fantastic Fiction will discuss “Made in the USA” by Billie Letts at 11 a.m. July 19 at the Seymour Library. This group meets on the third Friday of each month.

The Medora Library book discussion group will meet at 5:30 p.m. July 22 to talk about “Water for Elephants” by Sara Gruen. The group meets on the fourth Monday of each month.
