NORTH VERNON
Donald Eugene Wulf, 66, of North Vernon, passed away at 6:14 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at his residence.
Born August 15, 1952, in Beech Grove, Donald was the son of Winifred (Bardel) Wulf and the late Forrest Wulf. He married Nancy (Scarlett) Young on October 15, 2017 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in North Vernon.
Donald was a 1970 graduate of Franklin Central High School in Indianapolis and served in the U.S. Army from 1972-1975. He worked as a driver for ABF (Arkansas Best Freight), retiring in 2018 after 12 years with the company; he had previously worked for Alvan Motor Freight for 12 years and Jones Trucking.
Donald was a member of Teamsters Local Union #135 and a former member of St. John Lutheran Church in Indianapolis. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, deer hunting, golfing and spending time with his step-grandchildren.
Surviving with his wife, Nancy Young, of North Vernon are his mother, Winifred Wulf of Indianapolis; step-sons, Adam (Kristy) Young of Scipio and Joshua Young of Seymour; and step-grandchildren, Jonathan Young of North Vernon, Alaina Young and Chase Young, both of Scipio; step-great-grandchild, Kendall Young of Scipio; mother-in-law, Wanda Wright of Scipio and step-mother-in-law, Carolyn Scarlett of Brownstown.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Pastor Jose Gonzales officiating. Family and Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, May 2, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. until time of service.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society or Schneck Medical Center Hospice.
