» Why did you decide to run for clerk-treasurer?

I decided to run for the clerk-treasurer for the city of Seymour as I want to pay back to the citizens of Seymour. I have been in the private business sector many years, and I want to provide a service to the citizens of Seymour.

» What is your priority heading into office?

My priority heading into the office of the city of Seymour clerk-treasurer is to establish and maintain fiscal responsibility and transparency and implementing and overseeing city policy and adhering to local, state and federal guidelines within the clerk-treasurer’s office.

» What experience do you have for this office?

I have numerous years of business experience in the private sector. I feel those financial experiences have helped prepare me for the office of clerk-treasurer. I work well with others, and I am a quick learner.

» How do you plan to make the office more accessible and user-friendly?

As the clerk-treasurer for the city of Seymour and the chief financial officer for the city, I would be subject to the authority of the Indiana State Board of Accounts, and I would be responsible for the overall fiscal monitoring and documentation of the city of Seymour. I would provide citizens with full access to all public records that they would have access to by Indiana law.
