Three North Vernon residents are in jail on preliminary drug and other charges after police executed a search warrant related to stolen property.

The Jennings County Sheriff’s Department, in cooperation with the Westport Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence in Country Squire Lakes in North Vernon on Thursday, said David Turner, chief deputy of the Jennings County Sheriff’s Department.

The search warrant was signed by Jennings Circuit Court Judge Jon Webster after Westport Assistant Police Chief Ryan Arbuckle received information about the location of stolen property that was taken from the Westport area.
