Pine Ridge Extension Homemakers Club meets for holiday dinner

Pine Ridge Extension Homemakers met Dec. 11 at Norma Pollert’s home. The hostess served a holiday dinner to eight members.

President Sandi Hall presided at the business meeting that followed. Secret pals were revealed in Christmas cards and new names were drawn for 2019. Instead of a gift exchange, a donation of $85 was collected for Community Provisions of Jackson County.

The hostess gave devotions, emphasizing that God gives us the power of reasoning, but we don’t know everything, only in part.

Decorated jars of cookies were given as hostess favors. Hall handed out pocket jars of hand gel in Christmas card boxes.

The next meeting will be Jan. 22 at a location to be announced. Each member is to take $10 to furnish the two backpacks to be given to Child Protective Services in March.
