Two local residents have come together to organize a winter clothing drive.

Jackson County Emergency Medical Services employee Shane Collier has partnered with Jackson County Sheriff’s Department employee Amber Garner to collect gently used coats, hats, gloves and scarves.

Items may be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Jackson County EMS headquarters, 616 W. Brown St., Seymour, or the sheriff’s department, 150 E. State Road 250, Brownstown.

Collier said he will be purchasing 40 to 50 hat/glove combinations to add to this.

All donations will stay in Jackson County to help people stay warm this winter.
