A downtown Seymour restaurant is joining in efforts to support the Cold Night Shelter Project.

This Christmas season, Chillicen, 218 S. Chestnut St., is collecting small items, such as children’s socks, adult non-skid socks, gloves, scarves and travel-sized toiletries, to be given to homeless people in Jackson County. Donations to provide a warm meal to those people also are being accepted.

Anyone who makes a donation will receive $1 off lunch or can upgrade their side choice to a larger portion.
