A pumpkin carving and trunk or treat event is set for Oct. 28 at First United Methodist Church, 201 E. Third St., Seymour.

A costume contest and a best pumpkin carving contest will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with trunk or treat to follow.

Bring your pumpkin carving skills, best costume and something to hold your candy.
