SEYMOUR

Mr. Marcus E. Stockhover, 75, of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Seymour on July 1, 1943 to the late Irvin and Velma Jean (Mitchell) Stockhover.

Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday, September 24 at 1 pm with Rev. Gary Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Sunday from 2-6 pm and Monday from 12 noon until time of service.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and enjoyed serving on the honor guard to honor other veterans. On April 23, 1992, he married Connie Haws Bearden; she survives. He was a retired tool maker from Advance Mold. After retirement, he would fill in as needed at C&G Tool. He and his wife, Connie, owned and operated Townhouse Cafe in Seymour from 1996-2014. He was a member of VFW Post#1925, American Legion Post #89 and Masonic Lodge F&AM #146. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved the rodeo, traveling in the Western states and wintering in Florida. He was of Christian faith which was a great comfort to the family the last few years.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Connie Stockhover; son, David (Debbie) Stockhover; stepsons, Curtis L. Bearden and Rick L. (Glenda) Bearden; grandchildren, Holly Stockhover, Whitney (Blake) Otte, Dylan (Abby) Bearden and Cody Bearden; and sister, Debra (Rick) Flohr.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Nathaniel Stockhover.
