Mr. David Edward Auleman, 60, of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Columbus Regional Hospital. He was born on November 2, 1957 to the late Farrell and Geraldine (Maples) Auleman.

Funeral services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at The Point on Wednesday, September 19 at 3 p.m. with Revs. Steve Green and Johnnie Spivey officiating.

Family and friends may call at The Point on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 p.m. until time of service.

David worked and volunteered in church and the community through various organizations, including Anchor House, The Point and coaching softball, baseball and basketball with Enter His Courts.

He was a graduate of IUPUC School of Business, was a private contractor and co-owner of Chocolate Spoon Cafe. Throughout the years, he had been employed with Home Depot of Seymour, as a firefighter with Seymour Fire Department, and a salesman with Indy Honda.

He was an artist and had designed t-shirts, written a movie “Small Town BIG DREAMS”, written a book “Goal Kit for Success” and had illustrated the Home Depot Coloring Books on Safety. He was a pilot, inventor and Master Craftsman. David lived for his family and used his God given talents to pursue happiness.

He is survived by his wife, Eva (Noblitt) Auleman; children, Amy (BJ) Cockerham, Lauren (Justin) Earl, Isaac Auleman (Ashley Brown), Madison Auleman and Chloe Auleman; grandchildren, Kennedy Renee, Alyx Jay, Remy Elle, Byshop Oliver, Jackson Leland, Jolee Rose and Noah Lister; and sister, Nancy Auleman.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and infant brother, Timothy Joe Auleman.

Memorials may be written to his youngest daughters college fund, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
