Kathryn L. Taulman, 80, of Seymour, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, August 8, 2018.

She was born on May 8, 1938 in Bartholomew County, Indiana the daughter of Paul W. and Mildred A. Kreinop Toburen.

On August 11, 1956 she married Jack E. Taulman.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church-White Creek, White Creek Conservation Club, and St. John’s Lutheran Church Ladies Aide; and volunteered at the Orphan Grain Train and at Lutheran Community Home. Kathryn started the lunch program at White Creek Lutheran School and enjoyed being a cook there. With her love of cooking she had also been the owner and cook at the Country Diner, she then went on to be a private cook. Kathryn and her husband fostered many children through the years. Some of her greatest joys were spending time with her family and cooking; she also loved babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren; quilting, playing cards, and regularly visiting shut-ins.

Survivors include her children, Debbie (Scott) Johnston of West Lafayette, Mike (Barbara) Taulman of Columbus, Matt (Michelle) Taulman of Columbus, Dee (Dave) Neal of Columbus, and Gary Perkins of Columbus; Grandchildren, Chris, Jesse (Hannah Fisher), & Eric Taulman of Columbus, Tyler & Nathan Johnston of West Lafayette, Josh (Amanda) Barlow & Cortnie (Matt Manning) Barlow of Seymour, Matt & Andy Perkins of Columbus, and Olivia, Oliver, & Owen Eggersman of Columbus; Great Grandchildren, Candace, Payton, Halie, Finley, and Reed Barlow, Teagon Johnson, Lydia & Madison Manning; and a brother, Ronald (Diana) Toburen of Seymour.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on October 20, 2010;

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church-White Creek with Pastor Justin Whitmore officiating.

Burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Church-White Creek Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Sunday at Barkes, Weaver, & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street and also from 10:00 A.M. to time of service Monday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church-White Creek or Orphan Grain Train.
