The arrest of two Seymour residents in Jennings County on Tuesday began with a tip made through the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department’s website, police report.
Brian Christopher Willman, 34, was arrested by North Vernon police at an apartment in the 500 block of Brownstown Road in North Vernon on a Jackson County warrant for Level 6 felony charges of strangulation, domestic battery, criminal confinement and interference with reporting of a crime, according to a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.
Willman was first taken to the Jennings County Jail but was transferred to the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown on Thursday.
In Jennings County, Willman faces charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia after police found 1.5 grams of methamphetamine, pipes and a digital scale during a search of the apartment where they also arrested Kayleana Tungate, 22, of Seymour.
Tungate faces charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.
Willman was booked into Jackson County Jail at 7:46 p.m. Thursday on warrants without bond.
Tungate was booked into Jennings County Jail at 7:31 p.m. Tuesday and has since been released.
