Remote-control plane club holding event

Southern Indiana Flying Eagles is sponsoring the fifth annual Hoosier Scale Classic Friday through Sunday at the remote-control flying field at Freeman Municipal Airport in Seymour.

The public is invited to the field to see replicas of full-size aircraft compete.

There will be raffles, prizes, concessions available for purchase and restrooms available. The event is free to the public.

Static judging will be from noon to 4 p.m. Friday, while competition flying will be from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to noon Sunday.

The public will have the opportunity to talk to the pilots and club members.

The club’s flying field is in the 1200 block of North A Avenue off of the Airport Road entrance to Freeman Field. Follow the signs and balloons to the field.
