Library book discussions schedule released

Jackson County Public Library book discussion groups plan to gather to discuss book themes, writing styles, characters and more in August at the Seymour, Crothersville and Medora libraries.

The groups are open to adults, and there is no attendance requirement. Books are available to check out at the library checkout desks.

The Tuesday Night Book Club will discuss its monthly book at 7 p.m. Aug. 14 at The Brooklyn Pizza Co., 753 W. Second St., Seymour. They will review “History of Wolves” by Emily Fridlund. Those planning to eat should bring money and can sign up as they check out the book.

The book discussion group at the Crothersville Library, which meets on the third Wednesday of each month, will gather and share thoughts on “Light in August” by William Faulkner at 6 p.m. Aug. 15 at the library, 120 W. Main St., Crothersville.

Fantastic Fiction will discuss “Fire in the Water” by Hoosier author James Alexander Thom at 11 a.m. Aug. 17 at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St. This group meets on the third Friday of each month.

The Medora Library book discussion group will meet at 6 p.m. Aug. 27 to talk about “Lumby’s Bounty” by Gail Fraser. The group meets on the fourth Monday of each month at the library, 27 W. Main St., Medora.
