Curtis Cleon Barker, 83, of Seymour, died unexpectedly at his home at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2018.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He retired from Cosco after 41 years of employment. He was a 1952 graduate of Columbus Central High School. Curtis enjoyed hunting, fishing, but most of all he loved spreading the word of Jesus and speaking to everyone about salvation.

Curtis was born on August 12, 1934 in Jonesville, IN to the late Clyde Emerson & Helen McCord Barker. He married Patsy Williams on July 8, 1967 in Freetown, IN and she survives.

Other survivors include 3 children; Leisa Gail (Ben) Strafuss of Colliersville, TN, Monica Lea Reier & Scott Barker both of Freetown; grandchildren, Floyd Patrick (Brittney) Davis II, Danielle Leigh Reier, Deacon Scott Reier, Dylan Curtis Reier, Scott Alan Barker Jr., Scylar Emerson Barker, Lindsay Danielle Strafuss, Andrew Joseph Strafuss, Justin Benedict Strafuss; great grandchildren, Trinity Lea England, Ali Nichole England, Floyd Patrick Davis III, Lillian Paige Davis, Drake Alan Barker, Journey Rain, & Liberty Scy.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Ashley Nichole Barker, and sisters, Lavonne Allen & Janet (John) Craig.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday, July 1st from 4-8 p.m. and on Monday from 12 p.m. until service time. Burial will take place at the Vallonia Cemetery.
