Craig Cole Garriott, 24, of Seymour, passed from this life Sunday, April 29, 2018.

Cole was born February 11, 1994, in Columbus, Indiana, the loving son of Bert and Tina Beaman Garriott.

Cole was an athletic, strong willed person that could do anything he put his mind to. Cole was a whole-hearted person, loving son, brother and softball player. He was charismatic with a aptitude that made him wise, knowledgeable, able to prosper and help anyone he could. He was a 2012 graduate of Seymour High School, 2013 certified welder through American Welding Society, 2016 NSA Super Worlds champion, 2017 USSSA E North Worlds champion. He is loved and will be missed by many that he has touched.

Cole is survived by his parents, Bert and Tina Garriott of Seymour; brothers, Seth B. Garriott and his wife, Hannah of Seymour and Samuel M. Garriott of Seymour; grandparents, Connie and Richard Yeaton of Columbus and Jerald and Dee Dee Beaman of New Richmond; his aunts and uncles, J.R. and Sheri Beaman of Lafayette and Amber and Franci Ma of Lafayette; three nieces and a nephew.

Cole was preceded in death by his grandfather, Tom Garriott and great-grandparents, Morris and Betty Hoar and Harold and Jeannie Beaman.

Visitation will be held from 4:30-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 2nd at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.

Cremation will take place following the visitation.

A private memorial service will be held at The Sanctuary with the Reverend Dan C. Mitchell officiating.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the National Softball Association Indiana.
