Immanuel Lutheran Church’s guild conducted a regular meeting Nov. 7 in the fellowship hall.

President Jackie Hill opened the meeting, and Pastor Jimmy Rodriguez led the group in singing Hymn 892, “Come Ye Thankful People Come.”

Rodriguez talked about two mission trips that Immanuel is participating in this fall and winter. The first is to Texas in November, and the second is to Haiti in February 2018. The church and school membership in Haiti has grown significantly since Immanuel sent a group there in 2014, he said. Rodriguez also reminded the group to be thankful for its blessings.

Lisa Lewis spoke about the Dec. 2 cookie walk, and Peggy Stark discussed the Dec. 5 Christmas party.

Connie Roeder and Carol Denny distributed nuts.

The tables were decorated in fall colors with a Thanksgiving theme. A Reformation snack mix was on the tables, and German chocolate cake was served.

Linda Eggersman closed the meeting with a Thanksgiving prayer.

Hostesses for the evening were chairwoman Elsie Brooks, Mary Anne Jordan and Judy McKain.
