Medora falls to West Washington

West Washington boys basketball team scored the first four points of Tuesday night’s game against Medora to lead all the way for a 54-35 win.

The Senators led 15-4 at the end of the first period and were on top 28-15 at the half.

Harrison Sanford was hot for the Senators in the first period with six points, and Nick Marrs had three points and four rebounds in the period.

Skylar Jones led the Hornets in the second period with four points and four rebounds.

The Hornets came out strong at the start of the third period as Jones scored first basket of the third period, and Medora outscored the Senators 8-2 over the first four minutes of the quarter to close the gap to 30-23, but that was as close as the home team could get.

The Senators moved on top 38-26 at the end of the quarter and evened their record at 1-1.

Owen Sullivan was high scorer for the Hornets with 10 points and Jones finished with eight points.

Marr led the Senators with 15 points.

The Hornets (0-2) will travel to Crothersville on Friday night.
