Cougars beat Herron

INDIANAPOLIS

Trinity Lutheran won their first game of the season Friday by defeating Indianapolis Herron 5-1.

Chloe Criswell scored two goals while Maddie Bell, Savanna Setty and Floosie Cooper each had one.

In goal, Vidalis Montanez had 13 goal saves.

Today, Trinity (1-1) will travel to Rising Sun.

VOLLEYBALL

Braves fall to Cougars

Brownstown Central fell to Bloomington North 27-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-17 on Thursday.

As a team, the Braves went 130-for-156 with 44 kills. Keeli Darlage had 41 hits and nine kills, Claire Pace had 31 hits with eight kills, and Addie Wilkerson totaled 20 hits with eight kills.

Brooklyn Snodgrass led the Braves with 11 digs and two aces.

The Braves (1-1) will play Charlestown and Clarksville at Clarkssville today.

GIRLS GOLF

Braves top Warriors

Brownstown Central beat Scottsburg 198-212 at Westwood Golf Course on Friday.

Shelby Stuckwisch led the Braves by shooting 45.

Emma Zabor carded a 48, Regan Campbell shot 50 and Ashlyn Fox and KaCee Collins each scored 55.

The Braves will play Seymour on Monday at Shadowood Golf Course in a match added to both teams’ schedules.
