The first Gardner family reunion is planned for Aug. 5-6 in Seymour.

If you have the surname of Cox, Vaughn, Rust, Schiller, Sweany, Marshall, Jones, Hoffmire, Yeager, Butcher, etc. you may be related.

Isaac and Comfort Rust Gardner lived in Jackson County in the 1800s and they have many descendants.

Some ancestors include Erasmus (Beecher) Gardner, Civil War; General George Rust, William Marshall and Isaac Gardner, all in the War of 1812; Colonel John Gardner of Virginia, Revolutionary War; and Dr. Joseph Gardner, Continental Congress, etc.
