IU women hosting ALS benefit game

For the third straight year, the Indiana University women’s basketball team will bring awareness to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS.

The Hoosiers’ lone exhibition game at 2 p.m. Sunday against the University of Indianapolis will be a red out to support the ALS Association Indiana chapter.

The team has had a red out game the past two seasons in support of head coach Teri Moren, a Seymour native whose mother, Barb, died of ALS.

Admission is free to the game at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington.

Donations may be made in memory of Barb Moren by calling the ALS Association Indiana chapter at 317-915-9888, visiting webin.alsa.org or mailing a check to 7202 E. 87th St., Suite 102, Indianapolis, IN 46256.

For the first time in school history, Indiana’s women’s basketball team is ranked in The Associated Press’ preseason top 25 poll, coming in at No. 23.
