Braves sectional game rescheduled

RAMSEY

The Brownstown Central versus Salem baseball game at the Class 3A North Harrison sectional on Wednesday was cancelled due to rain.

Tonight, the teams will meet for a rescheduled contest at 6 p.m.

Tigers compete vs. West Washington

Wednesday night’s sectional baseball game between Crothersville and West Washington was not completed by press time.

Softball

Silver Creek drops Braves in 5 innings

CORYDON

The Brownstown Central softball team fell to Silver Creek 13-0 in five innings in the the Class 3A Corydon Central sectional on Wednesday.

After a scoreless first inning, the Dragons took a 1-0 lead in the second.

The Dragons then added three runs in the third, five in the fourth and four in the fifth to win by run-rule.

BC had seven errors in the game.

Lisa Scott and Jami Bryant hit singles for the Braves.

Bryant was charged the loss in the circle, pitching all five innings.

The Braves (11-14) will lose seniors Beth Wayman, Katelyn Gray and Scott.
