Health center grand opening planned

The grand opening of the Community Health Center of Jackson County Annex is set for noon to 4 p.m. June 14.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will include tours of the clinic at 120 St. Louis Ave. in downtown Seymour. Attendees also will have a chance to meet the providers and staff, receive complimentary blood pressure screenings and schedule an appointment.

Earlier this year, the clinic moved from the Schneck Rehabilitation Center on South Walnut Street to its current location. It had been leasing office space in the Schneck building since October 2014.

The hours are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays; from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays; and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays.

The health center’s primary office, which opened in 2005, is on the first floor of the Community Agency Building, 113 N. Chestnut St., Seymour. It is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays; 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays; and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays.

The primary office and annex are operated by Indiana Health Centers Inc.
