Carlus Frazier, 75, of Seymour, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born May 3, 1941, in Oscoloosa, Kentucky, he was the son of John D. and Ida Hampton Frazier, both of whom preceded him in death. On March 13, 1963, in Edinburgh, he married Patty Crouch who survives.

Carlus attended First Baptist Church of Seymour. He retired from Cummins and was a past firefighter with the German Township Volunteer Fire Department at Taylorsville. He loved to travel, fishing, classic cars and was a big UK fan. He loved spending time with his family especially his daughter, Cyndi Hunt; son-in-law, Greg Hunt; grandsons, Drew and Blake Hunt; granddaughter, Lexi Hunt; and his great-granddaughter, Kinsley Ann Hunt. He dearly loved all of his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Other survivors include a daughter, Cyndi F. (Greg) Hunt; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; brothers, Lenville Frazier, Kirby D. (Myrtle) Frazier and Verlon B. (Karen) Frazier; sisters, Virgie Poland and Glenda (Cornelius) Eggers; sisters-in-law, Jewell Frazier and Eileen Frazier; and a brother-in-law, Wallace Lackey.

Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Kinnon Frazier, Vincent Frazier and Hargus Frazier; and three sisters, Vadis Frazier, Stacy Blair and Emaline Lackey.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Seymour First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church.
