Jerry Lee Bowman, 53, of Seymour, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016, in Seymour.

Born April 24, 1962, he was the son of Manford L. Bowman, who preceded him in death, and Dorothy M. Kamman Christopher, who survives.

Jerry was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Brownstown and attended St. Peters Elementary School. He was a 1980 graduate of Brownstown Central High School. He was retired from the Golden Foundry and also had worked at Kobelco and Royalty Roofing. He then was self-employed as a roofer. Jerry enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. He loved being around his family, especially his children and grandsons.

Besides his mother and stepdad, Jim Christopher, survivors include his children, Jessica Hope Bowman, Brandon Joseph Lee (Jackie) Royalty and Amber Nichole Royalty, all of Seymour; grandsons, Landin, Jaylan, Dakota, Jayden and Jayce; siblings, David J. Bowman of Bloomington and Pamela M. Bowman of Seymour; and several uncles, aunts and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Brownstown. Burial will follow at Vallonia Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre in Seymour and from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Jerry Bowman Memorial Fund or to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
